Our dirt-specific carbon outsole is super stiff, for the ultimate in power transfer. What’s more, our Body Geometry PadLock™ Heelcup and no-stretch Dyneema® mesh uppers lock your feet into the shoes, giving you the most efficient fit around. This means that every possible watt of power gets to your pedals for more speed.

Comfort
The features that make your foot perfect for walking—its natural tilt and shock-absorbing arch—can actually cause power loss and pain when you’re pedaling. On the down stroke, your forefoot angulation and arch cause the foot to collapse slightly, which leads your knee, shin, and forefoot to rotate inwards. This sideways movement reduces efficiency and strains your knee, so we designed the S-Works Recon to boost your comfort, improve pedaling efficiency, and prevent injury.
